I love this garment rack! I researched a ton of these units to see which one would work best for my needs, and this was the only one that allowed doubling the hanging space (with hanging rods) and that had sturdy shelving, too.I got my unit today and put it together myself. I'm a small non-mechanically inclined person, and even though I worked very slowly, it took about 40 minutes. The instructions were very easy to follow, and though I needed a step stool to put the top rack on, I did it easily. Since I'm using two hanging closet rods side by side, I'm doubling my hanging space. That also means that I'm using only two of the three racks: one at the very top and one at the very bottom. I was concerned that maybe that might cause some weakness or instability, but this unit seems very solid.I have the entire top hanging rod filled with all my shirts, 89 of them so far and have enough room left to go up to 100! Once I get thinner hangers, I'll be able to fit even more.( I just bought some thin velvet hangers on Amazon.) I'm sure I'll be able to fit another 100 on the bottom...I might have to go shopping for more clothes! And I've checked: the top rack of clothes barely touch the bottom hanging rack. That was my big concern, but probably since I'm petite (5 ft., 115 lb.), my clothes are smaller than usual.I've filled the top rack with most my sweaters (up to the ceiling!), and the bottom rack holds the rest of my sweaters and all my jeans. And there's still room for more. This is an AMAZING rack. Very sturdy, very easy to put together, very nice looking. Even though some of the rods somehow got loose in the packaging, I found no scratches or other defects that others have had. I found a tiny bit of warping in the rack shelf, but not enough to bother me (and I'm very picky). This unit holds an insane amount of clothes. I read that the hanging rod can hold 80 lb., and I don't think I'll get to that, even with doubling the hanging space. I have a tiny bedroom and hardly any closet space. This is essentially my closet, and so far, I love it. I very highly recommend it.
