(I guess she felt the files were intruding on her space) This step file serves the purpose of getting me work space and her petting space. When I first opened the package I didn't feel it was particularly sturdy but it does hold a number of papers and books easily, especially when they are filed in landscape, and I think the weight of the papers and books help to steady it. It doesn't have any bells or whistles and it isn't the prettiest of organizers but sometimes simple is best! It definitely does help corral the mountain of papers I tend to accumulate.Does what it's supposed to.
