want no nonsense real down to earth weird crimes, THEN YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACEI don’t really like serial killers shows but I have been in the mood for everything British and since I have watched all there is I broke down and decided to give this series a try. Plus Robson Green is the main character and I love him and he’s fantastic!! I watched all six seasons, at times I had to stop and walk away, it’s so dark and brutal. All the casts were good! I didn’t care for Kevin in the first episode but he grew and matured and I really liked him and glad he was in all six seasons (except first episode of season 6). I also liked the first DI, Carol Jordan, she and Tony Hill had chemistry. I thought she depended on him quite a bit that maybe it came across as needy. In season four DI Fielding arrived, she’s the opposite to DI Jordan, I like her also! I will miss this series mainly because of Robson! They saved the best for last! Although they probably thought the series would continue, I think the last episode is truly the best! Heart pumping action, new detective partner, bizarre murders to solve and the end is just fantastic! Bravo! I wish they had continued on with more from here! Robson Greene is a fine actor who plays his role incredibly well! Love this series!!!!Compelling, well written, and well acted. Robson Green is riveting as Tony Hill and what a fantastic character. Hermione Morris is also terrific in the first three seasons. But some of the best episodes come later. I have enjoyed this program immensely. This is a continuation of a great show. Robson Green is a terrific actor. The worst thing about this show is that ITV never commissioned more seasons. It's been over 10 years since the last season and I'm still irked by that decision.Changing gears, if you've ever wondered where the title came from, here's the answer from writer Val McDermid's website: The phrase ‘the wire in the blood’ comes from T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets. – ‘The trilling wire in the blood ⁄ sings below inveterate scars ⁄ appeasing long-forgotten wars.’As for the meaning… In an interview Robson Green said the phrase wire in the blood was taken to mean a genetic kink, something impure and unusual in the blood, that leads to the kind of psychosis Hill might deal with.Val McDermid says: “Who knows what Eliot really meant by that line? Robson’s explanation is as good as any… For myself, I’ve always taken it to be a metaphor for the thrill of adrenaline surging through the bloodstream. But we’ll never know for sure”.Strange stories, well acted, well told.Good twisting plots with a quirky "everyman" lead instead of a superhero. His strength is in developing an understanding of the psychopaths he hunts. Very good.I like all of the series of "Wire in the Blood". This series holds up the excellent stories and acting. The stories in this series are, however, much darker and more gruesome than previous series.Good value for money as they are the type of programme one can watch more than once and still gain from them. One question that's bugging my wife and I, "Where does the title comes from?"Another great ITV series. Good plot lines - some of them bordering on the macabre. Kept you guessing right to the end. One of the best.If you enjoy the previous series then you will realise that not much changes and why should they change a winning formula? I find this a good set of stories linking with each other slightly, not brain taxing, but I am only asking this to entertain me, which it doesRobson Green is excellent in this series, which is full of good story lines and twists and turns. I missed most of the episodes when they were first broadcast, but now I can watch them as and when I want.Good value and prompt delivery.Really enjoyable stories Robson Greene at his best would receommend it
